Something not working?
Let’s find out why.

Personal remote coaching to identify what’s holding you back — and help you find a practical way forward.

The diagnostic approach

You know something isn’t right.
But why?

You’ve tried tutorials, different techniques or advice from other divers. Perhaps you’ve been stuck for months and still can’t work out what’s happening.

You don’t need to know what’s causing the problem. That’s the point. Bring me the issue, and we’ll investigate it together.

Sound familiar?

Who you’ll be working with

I’m Ian Donald.

I’ve taught freediving professionally since 2009, working with thousands of students — from complete beginners to Royal Marines and performers on film and television sets. At my busiest, I taught up to 30 students a week.

You can’t communicate underwater. You learn to spot problems through observation, questions and experience. My own instructors regularly turn to me when they encounter issues they haven’t been able to resolve.

Remote coaching draws on those same diagnostic skills, with your history and optional video helping us investigate the issue.
